Smoking
rules – As of November 2019, Greece has finally caught up with the times and adapted the indoor ban. Prior to that, smoking wasn't allowed but no one had really implemented the policies and there was a fear that if they turn away people from their establishments then they will ultimately lose the local customers. Certain areas are not affected by the new law so people will also
smoke at the beach. Kontogialos located on the west part of the island is
beautiful but possibly has some of the worst smokers around. Cigarette butts
can be found all over the sand.
